Cambodia’s agricultural exports climb to $6.46 billion in 2025
Cambodia generated $6.46 billion in gross revenue from agricultural exports in 2025, a 7.3% increase from the $6.02 billion earned the previous year, according to a report released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries yesterday.

The surge in revenue was driven by a diverse range of commodities, including rice, rubber, cassava, mangoes, bananas, peppercorn, cashew nuts, longans, and durians. The ministry highlighted that China remains a vital market for Cambodian goods, maintaining its position as the primary destination for the nation’s milled rice.
Ministry of Commerce Secretary of State and spokesperson Penn Sovicheat attributed the sector’s strong performance to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA). Speaking to Xinhua, Sovicheat said that these strategic trade agreements have enabled “Made-in-Cambodia” products, particularly high-quality produce, to access the Chinese market under preferential tariff schemes.
Agriculture remains one of the four essential pillars supporting the Cambodian economy, providing a critical foundation alongside the tourism industry, construction and real estate sectors, and garment, footwear, and travel goods manufacturing.
