Commerce Minister and Turkey’s Ambassador discuss trade progress

Commerce Minister Cham Nimul received a courtesy and farewell call from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Cambodia Ülkü Kocaefe yesterday at the Ministry.

The meeting was held to mark Ambassador Kocaefe’s successful conclusion of her diplomatic mission in Cambodia.

During the meeting, Minister Nimul sincerely praised the ambassador’s efforts in strengthening trade relations between Cambodia and Turkey. She emphasised the importance of the bilateral Cambodia–Turkey Joint Economic Commission as a vital mechanism for fostering economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

In response, Ambassador Ülkü Kocaefe praised Cambodia’s progress in the trade sector, particularly the steady growth in bilateral trade between the two countries.

She expressed support for creating a Cambodian private commercial centre in Istanbul, which would further encourage business connections and promote stronger engagement between Cambodia’s and Turkey’s private sectors.
