CSX daily trading value hits record high in September
Consistent small-scale trading by investors creates a robust foundation, driving crucial liquidity for the CSX’s next phase of market growth.

The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) saw a new record high in September, with the average daily trading value reaching 5.8 billion riel (approximately $1.45 million), according to CSX’s announcement yesterday.
Meanwhile, average daily trading volume hit 932,139 shares in September, highlighting robust investor participation throughout the month.
“September 2026 marked a month of intense investor buying and selling activity, pushing daily average trading prices to new highs on the Cambodia Securities Exchange,” read the statement.
The trading volume appears to be from retail investors and small investors, the bulk of whom are buying one share to 1,000 shares.
Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) Director-General Sou Socheat said that the significant increase in trading volume reflects strong investor confidence in the securities sector.
“The active participation of investors in buying and selling in small amounts is a solid foundation and an important potential for trading in the next market of the Cambodia Securities Exchange,” Socheat said, adding that to maintain this potential participation, building and maintaining “confidence” is essential.
Confidence in the securities sector is not something that can be bought in just one day or arises, but it is a gradual saving and construction effort that has been ongoing for over 10 years to bear fruit as it is today, he added.
Although the Cambodian securities sector is still regional in size, it has now entered a turning point that is developing with rapid growth, he said.
Launched in 2012, the CSX is a joint venture between the Cambodian government, which holds a 55% stake, and the Korea Exchange, which owns the remaining 45%.
According to CSX, as of September, the securities market has 12 equity-listed companies and 16 listed corporate bonds. The listed companies have raised a combined total of approximately $720 million.
Both SERC and CSX urge the public and investors to engage with the securities sector. By doing so, participants can generate individual returns and enhance their financial literacy, while directly driving Cambodia’s capital market development through higher trading volumes and diversified, secure investment choices.
