AIMS project reviews progress, targets 18 provinces

Secretary of State for the Ministry of Commerce, Tekreth Kamrang, chaired the monthly review of the Accelerating Inclusive Markets for Smallholders (AIMS) project on Wednesday.

The session convened the Project Management Office, provincial officers, and focal points from 18 targeted commerce departments to assess progress against the 2026 Annual Work Plan and Budget.

According to a ministry statement released yesterday, the meeting focused on identifying operational bottlenecks and synchronising regional activities.

Outcomes indicate that provincial teams are meeting current milestones while refining strategies for the months ahead. Officials addressed key implementation challenges to ensure the project remains effective at connecting small-scale farmers to lucrative markets.

The AIMS initiative remains a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s strategy to modernise agricultural trade and improve rural livelihoods.
