Commerce Ministry launches Cambodia FTA Portal

The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has officially launched the Cambodia FTA Portal to make it easier for users to access and search for information and to maximise the benefits of the free trade agreements to which Cambodia is a member.

The launch event took place on Friday at the Ministry of Commerce, presided over by Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia. Representatives from relevant ministries and institutions, the Australian Embassy, CAPRED, and various sector stakeholders attended the ceremony.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the Cambodia FTA Portal is designed to improve access to information, enhance understanding, and help users fully benefit from the free trade agreements Cambodia has joined.

The portal provides several key advantages for traders, exporters, and other stakeholders, including access to insights into Cambodia’s free trade agreements; understanding export requirements and procedures; and supporting trade liberalisation and strengthening economic cooperation.

Speaking at the event, Minister Nimul thanked the Australian Government, through the Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) program, as well as the Ministry of Commerce and other institutions involved in developing this new platform.

She highlighted that the Cambodia FTA Portal enables businesses, investors, exporters, producers, researchers, and the general public to search and select the most suitable preferential trade schemes or free trade agreements. Users can also compare tariff rates, rules of origin, and other essential information to help maximise the benefits of these agreements and preferential systems.

Nimul further encouraged the private sector—especially exporters—to make full use of the portal and promote it among their members to avoid losing potential benefits and to contribute feedback for future improvements.
