Cambodia, Australia talk investment boost
Top Cambodian investment officials met an Australian diplomatic delegation to strengthen bilateral ties and attract more foreign direct investment into the kingdom, according to official sources.

Lim Visal, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Committee at the Development Council of Cambodia (CDC), hosted Carol Holmes, Head of the Cambodia and Vietnam Section at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, for discussions on expanding economic cooperation.
During the meeting, Visal highlighted Cambodia’s flexible investment regime, competitive incentives, and robust infrastructure to reduce production costs. He urged Australian firms to invest heavily in high-value-added sectors that promote technology transfer and knowledge sharing.
Holmes praised Cambodia’s rapid economic growth and reaffirmed Canberra’s commitment to encouraging Australian enterprises to explore opportunities in high-potential sectors, including agriculture, renewable energy, healthcare, and education.
