Both sides also agree to enhance business activities, tourism growth, and investment opportunities between the two nations.

Singapore is keen on importing more agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables and rice, while strengthening cooperation in human capital development through the Cambodia-Singapore Cooperation Centre (CSCC), said Steven Pang Chee Wee, Singaporean Ambassador to Cambodia.
Ambassador Pang told this during a meeting with Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), in Phnom Penh on May 15, according to an MFAIC official press release issued yesterday.
Congratulating Ambassador Pang on his appointment, the Deputy Prime Minister assured the Royal Government’s support and cooperation to facilitate the successful fulfilment of his diplomatic mission.
On his part, Ambassador Pang expressed gratitude for the longstanding support and cooperation extended to the Singapore Embassy in Phnom Penh and pledged to continue strengthening and expanding the cordial relations between both countries across all sectors.
He noted that Singapore is interested in importing additional Cambodian agricultural products, particularly fruits and vegetables, alongside rice, reflecting growing opportunities for the Kingdom to expand agricultural exports and strengthen trade relations with the regional market.
Both sides also discussed cooperation in human capital development and technical training, underscoring the importance of maximising the utilisation of the CSCC to support technical capacity-building programmes aligned with the Royal Government’s development priorities and workforce requirements.
Cambodia and Singapore share excellent relations across political and security cooperation, trade and investment, tourism, education and technical training, culture, and growing people-to-people exchanges.
Sokhonn and Ambassador Pang also noted with satisfaction the increasing air connectivity between the two countries, including 42 weekly flights, which continue to facilitate business activities, tourism growth, investment opportunities, and stronger interaction between citizens of both nations.
Both welcomed the food security cooperation agreement signed in April, noting it would strengthen bilateral food security cooperation and promote Cambodian agricultural exports to the Singapore market.
On security cooperation, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to combating transnational crimes, particularly online scams and cybercrime, to strengthen investor confidence and improve the business and investment climate.
Besides, they exchanged views on tourism cooperation and welcomed ongoing collaboration between Singapore Airlines and the Cambodia Tourism Board to promote the Kingdom as an attractive tourism destination for international travellers.
