MISTI honours 5S productivity award winners, urges firms to embed productivity as core business culture
The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) yesterday presented certificates and the 5S Productivity Awards 2025, recognising factories, enterprises, and handicrafts that have demonstrated strong commitment to workplace efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Presiding over the ceremony, Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, underscored the role of productivity in strengthening business competitiveness and sustaining economic growth, particularly as domestic demand for quality products continues to rise.
The “5S” productivity method not only helps to organise and maintain cleanliness at all times but also helps to increase work safety, reduce costs, motivate employees, strengthen product quality, and increase production, leading to an increase in the profit of businesses,” he said.
The 5S methodology—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain—is a simple yet foundational productivity tool applicable across all sectors and enterprise sizes. MISTI has been supporting companies in embedding 5S practices into daily routines, workplace discipline, and organisational culture to achieve sustainable productivity gains.
Phe Chantravuth, Director General of the General Department of Industry, said the award recipients serve as role models for other enterprises seeking to enhance efficiency and competitiveness, including by adopting technology and digital tools.
The 5S Productivity Awards program is an annual initiative organised by MISTI since 2014 through the National Productivity Centre of Cambodia, and has to date attracted 894 manufacturing and service establishments.
Three companies that have been selected as the winners of the “5S” Productivity Awards 2025 are PPF Yummy Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Bowker Garment Factory (Cambodia) Company Limited, and TTML Commercial Laundry Co., Ltd.
MISTI has also called on more involvement from companies, factories and enterprises nationwide to adopt the 5S practices and participate in next year’s awards. Applications are free of charge, with technical training and productivity consulting provided to support sustained improvements across the industrial and service sectors.
