The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Thursday held a meeting on Thursday to review applications for the registration of 13 qualified investment projects valued at $323 million.
The 18th Single Entry-Exit meeting was chaired by Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the CDC, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries, institutions and provincial administrations in Phnom Penh.
Senior officials attending the meeting included Nut Unvoanra, Youn Heng and Lim Visal, all deputy secretaries general of CIB, along with Heang Sotheayuth, Deputy Secretary General of the Secretariat General of the CDC.
The gathering focused on assessing investment proposals submitted for official registration under Cambodia’s investment framework, with discussions centred on project feasibility, compliance with regulations, economic impact and potential contributions to job creation.
According to a CDC announcement, the meeting reviewed and discussed applications for 13 qualified investment projects spanning a wide range of manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
These projects represented a combined investment capital of $323 million and are projected to generate approximately 7,000 employment opportunities once fully operational.
The investment portfolio included 12 industrial manufacturing projects covering cosmetics production, electrical equipment assembly, fabric dyeing and textile manufacturing by Haixinmai (Cambodia) Textile Technology Co Ltd, kitchenware manufacturing by Bloom & Mold Co Ltd, and automotive assembly by KNN Automotive Co Ltd.
Other projects involve the manufacturing of noodles and related accessories by Indo (Cambodia) Food Industries Co Ltd, camping equipment, sports equipment and accessories by J&S Fitness Equipment Co Ltd, flower pots and garden decoration materials by Bonny Well (Cambodia) Co Ltd, furniture manufacturing by Yunzixing (Cambodia) Co Ltd, and pest control products.
In addition to industrial projects, the investment applications include a major infrastructure project involving the development of a 150-megawatt wind power plant in Mondulkiri province by Leader Wind Energy (Cambodia) Co Ltd, reflecting growing interest in renewable energy development in the Kingdom.
The proposed projects are planned to be implemented across six provinces, such as Kandal, Takeo, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Battambang and Mondulkiri. The geographic spread highlighted the government’s continued efforts to promote balanced regional development and attract investment beyond the capital.
The meeting underscored Cambodia’s commitment to facilitating investment, accelerating project approvals, and supporting job creation amid ongoing efforts to strengthen economic growth and industrial diversification.
