Cambodia’s export of milled rice up 39 pct in first 11 months of 2025

Cambodia exported 801,643 tons of milled rice to international markets in the first 11 months of 2025, up 39 percent from 575,562 tons over the same period last year, said a Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) press release on Thursday.

The Southeast Asian country made $526.47 million in revenue from the exports of milled rice during the January-November period this year, up 27 percent from $413.9 million over the same period last year, the press release said.

Sixty-five companies had shipped milled rice to 72 countries and regions during the period above this year, the press release said, adding that China remained one of the main buyers of the commodity.

According to the press release, 65.15 percent of the exported rice was fragrant rice, 16.07 percent was broken rice, 14.79 percent was white rice, 2.07 percent was parboiled rice, 1.46 percent was organic rice, and 0.46 percent was other types of rice.

Ministry of Commerce Secretary of State and Spokesperson Penn Sovicheat said the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement and the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement have laid a strong foundation for Cambodia’s agricultural exports to China and other RCEP countries.

“Under these trade deals, made-in-Cambodia products, especially quality agricultural produce such as rice, yellow bananas, mangoes, longans, peppercorn, and durians have been exported to China with preferential tariffs,” he told Xinhua.
