PM Hun Manet urges stronger Cambodia-Turkey business ties to reach $1 billion trade target
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet called on business leaders from Cambodia and Turkey to deepen economic ties and push bilateral trade towards a $1 billion target, following an 18% surge in trade volume in 2025.

Speaking at the Cambodia-Turkey Business Forum in Istanbul, Hun Manet urged investors to leverage institutional frameworks—including the Joint Economic Commission and the Cambodia-Turkey Business Council—to overcome trade barriers and accelerate investment.
The forum, co-hosted by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), brought together commercial leaders and ministry officials from both nations.
Hun Manet highlighted key growth sectors for cross-border cooperation, urging Turkish investors to target manufacturing, agro-processing, renewable energy, logistics, digital technology, and sustainable tourism.
During the event, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and DEİK signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate direct business networking, market information sharing, and joint venture development.
Bilateral trade between the two nations reached approximately $400 million in 2025, up from roughly $338 million in 2024.
