CamDX MSME services to fully integrate by month-end

Crossing 117 million transactions since launch, CamDX remains the backbone of Cambodia’s public-private connectivity.

The Digital Economy and Business Committee (DEBC) plans to conclude the integration of fundamental services for micro, small, and medium-enterprises (MSMEs) into the Cambodia Data Exchange (CamDX) ecosystem by the end of September.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the DEBC, and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on E-Services for Business (ESB) Kong Marry chaired a working group meeting at the DEBC headquarters in Phnom Penh attended by high-level officials and senior technical officials on Monday to review the progress of the work.

Marry commended the notable milestones achieved across ministries and institutions through the integration process. He outlined key priority actions to ensure a smooth service integration and achieve 100 percent completion by the end of September 2026.

CamDX offers an online business registration platform which combines at least four main relevant information systems into a single portal, allowing business owners to register and get the licences to operate their business efficiently and effectively. It also allows access to data in government databases and public services without compromising the security and ownership of the data.

The MEF has been facilitating an inter-ministry working group to regulate and simplify the business registration process for MSMEs.

The CamDX ecosystem integrates 32 public sector members and 55 private institutions, including the Ministry of Commerce , General Department of Taxation and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and others.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior is seeking to allow CamDX to verify the data of Cambodian identity cards with its own system to improve the consistency of the personal data, and the Council for the Development of Cambodia is also seeking to blend the investment data with company registration data.

Surpassing 117 million transactions this June since its 2020 debut, CamDX remains the vital infrastructure driving Cambodia’s digital public-private connectivity.
