MOC promotes easier business registration, branding

The Ministry of Commerce has stepped up efforts to encourage business formalisation and strengthen the competitiveness of local enterprises by promoting simplified business registration procedures and effective branding.

Speaking at a training workshop on “Simplification of Business Registration and Branding” in Siem Reap on Tuesday, Secretary of State Veng Sothy said easier registration and stronger brand development are key to helping businesses expand and compete in domestic and international markets.

The workshop, jointly organised by the ministry’s Trade Training and Research Institute and the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Commerce, brought together provincial commerce officials, representatives of the Women Entrepreneurs Association and the Chamber of Commerce, local entrepreneurs, and university students.

The programme aimed to improve participants’ understanding of streamlined business registration procedures while highlighting the importance of building and maintaining strong brands to enhance market competitiveness and support sustainable business growth.
