Kingdom draws $966 million in new investment projects in early 2026

The Kingdom attracted fixed-asset investment projects worth $966 million during the first two months of 2026, according to a report released by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) yesterday.

The national investment body approved a total of 105 projects throughout January and February, a surge in activity expected to create around 39,000 new jobs for the local workforce. These licensed ventures are mainly focused on garment and non-garment manufacturing, infrastructure development, agriculture, and the agro-industry sector.

Official data identifies China as the leading source of foreign direct investment in the Southeast Asian nation. Malaysia and Singapore followed as the second and third largest contributors, respectively. The influx of capital highlights a strong start to the year for the industrial and agricultural sectors as the government continues to prioritise large-scale infrastructure and manufacturing growth.
