Commerce Ministry announces new retail fuel prices for March 8–10

The Ministry of Commerce has announced changes to retail fuel prices at service stations across Cambodia starting on March 8 until tomorrow. The rates are based on a pricing formula agreed upon with fuel companies and reflect fluctuations in regional and international oil markets.

The adjustment complies with Inter-Ministerial Prakas No 0083, issued on March 22, 2022, by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

To reduce the financial burden on citizens, Prime Minister Hun Manet has authorised a continued subsidy of 6.5 US cents per litre on retail prices. This maintains a policy introduced by former Prime Minister Hun Sen during the sixth term of the National Assembly.

Under the new pricing structure, effective until tomorrow, fuel prices are set as follows:

• Regular gasoline (92): 4,400 riel per litre

• Diesel (10ppm): 5,150 riel per litre

The ministry said that fuel retailers may sell at prices below the announced ceiling, depending on market conditions.
