MoC delegation explores investment opportunities in Shandong, China

A delegation from the Ministry of Commerce (MoC)’s Export Promotion Working Group paid a study visit to 4 major companies and factories in Weifang city and Linyi city in Shandong province, China, last weekend.

The delegation was led by Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce and Chairman of the Export Promotion Working Group, according to the ministry, which posted on Monday.

The companies visited included Sunvim Group Co., Ltd., Sinoer Menswear Co., Ltd., Shandong Jinsheng Grain and Oil Food Co., Ltd., and Shandong Yuhuang Grain and Oil Food Co., Ltd.

During the visit, the delegation held discussions with company representatives and toured production lines.

On the occasion, in view of the company’s experience and business success, Samheng Bora encouraged the 4 companies to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia, highlighting the potential benefits of establishing factories in the country, particularly in enhancing the quality and competitiveness of Cambodian processed products for the global market.

As a result, Sunvim Group Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese home textile manufacturer, pledged to conduct a further in-depth study in Cambodia on laws, labour, and investment conditions—building on its previous research in the country.

Similarly, Sinoer Menswear Co., Ltd., a well-known Chinese garment producer, expressed its intention to study and pursue investment opportunities in Cambodia to export its products to broader international markets.
