SACOMBANK cuts loan interest rates for retail customers by 1.5–2%

In line with the Government’s and State Bank of Vietnam’s policy of lowering interest rates, SACOMBANK has launched an additional preferential credit package worth VNĐ20 trillion (US$764 million), targeting individual customers with lending rate cuts of 1.5–2 percentage points.

SACOMBANK has launched an additional preferential credit package worth VNĐ20 trillion (US$764 million), targeting individual customers with lending rate cuts of 1.5–2 percentage points, which is in line with the Government’s and State Bank of Vietnam’s policy of lowering interest rates to support business activities.

Earlier, on October 20, 2026, SACOMBANK reduced deposit interest rates by 0.5 percentage points for terms of six months and longer and introduced a VNĐ40 trillion credit package for corporate customers with a 2 percentage point interest rate reduction from its existing rate schedule.

Under the new programme, SACOMBANK will earmark VNĐ10 trillion ($382 million) for retail customers, including household businesses, borrowing for production and business activities, with interest rates being reduced by at least 1.5 percentage points.

The preferential loans will support various financing needs, including supplementing working capital, purchasing goods and raw materials and expanding business operations, helping customers reduce borrowing costs and secure funding for their production and business activities.

In addition to new loans, SACOMBANK has allocated another VNĐ10 trillion to reduce interest rates for eligible existing borrowers. Depending on the customer category and loan type, lending rates may be reduced by 1.5-2 percentage points per annum, directly easing financial pressure and enabling customers to maintain and expand their operations.

The successive reductions in deposit interest rates, introduction of preferential credit packages and lowering interest rates on outstanding loans reflect SACOMBANK’s efforts to align with the Government’s and SBV’s policy direction and channel affordable financing into the economy.
