Preah Sihanouk reviews $237M in projects expected to create 2,700 jobs
Fourteen investment projects worth more than $237 million are expected to create around 2,700 jobs in Preah Sihanouk province as the government steps up efforts to attract investment and revive unfinished developments.

The projects were reviewed at the 28th meeting of the Working Group for the Special Programme to Promote Investment in Preah Sihanouk province on October 27, chaired by Hean Sahib, adviser to the Prime Minister and chairman of the working group.
The proposed investments include multifunctional buildings, hotels, industrial parks, bonded warehouses and factories producing plywood, glue and medical equipment.
From 2024 to October 2026, the working group approved incentives and facilitated procedures for 511 projects worth an estimated $8.5 billion, with the potential to create more than 60,000 jobs.
Of these, 218 involved unfinished buildings, 252 were new projects or unrelated to unfinished buildings, 26 were expansion projects and 15 involved existing projects.
Sahib said the working group provides a one-stop service for investors, offering special incentives, administrative facilitation and investment aftercare to promote projects in industry, agriculture and tourism.
The group will also assess the programme’s implementation, monitor approved projects and address challenges to ensure investment incentives deliver results.
The working group encouraged businesses and investors to apply for special incentives and administrative assistance free of charge.
