Investment authorities review $222 million project applications to create 900 jobs

Investment authorities yesterday reviewed applications for qualified investment projects worth approximately $222 million, expected to generate around 900 jobs.

The Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) reviewed the qualified investment project applications at its 10th Single Window Meeting of 2026.

Council for the Development of Cambodia Cambodian Investment Board Secretary-General Chea Vuthy chaired the meeting, which was attended by representatives from relevant ministries, institutions and provincial administrations.

The proposed investments are expected to boost economic activity and employment, though the CDC announcement did not specify the projects’ sectors, locations or individual investment values.

The Single Window Meeting serves as a mechanism for relevant government institutions to review investment applications and coordinate the registration process for qualified projects.

The review comes amid ongoing efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment to support economic growth, expand productive capacity and create employment opportunities.
