Cambodia’s bicycle export up 44% in Q1

Cambodia exported bicycles worth $201.2 million in the first quarter of 2026, up 44% on $139.7 million in the same period last year, according to a Ministry of Commerce report on Tuesday.

The report said bicycles were shipped mainly to the United States, European countries, Britain, Canada, and Australia, among others.

Bicycles have become one of Cambodia’s main export products for international markets, alongside garments, shoes, travel goods, and car tyres, Ministry of Commerce Secretary of State and Spokesperson Penn Sovicheat told Xinhua.

Thong Mengdavid, deputy director at the China-ASEAN Studies Center of the Cambodia University of Technology and Science, said the growth reflected strong manufacturing momentum and rising global demand.
