Cambodia greenlights $752 million in new investments for January
Cambodia approved 43 fixed-asset investment projects in January 2026, attracting a total capital of $752 million and creating approximately 26,000 jobs, according to a Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) report published yesterday.

The projects span the industrial, infrastructure, and agricultural sectors, signalling sustained investor confidence in the kingdom’s economic outlook. China remains the primary source of foreign direct investment, contributing 35.9% of the monthly total. Other significant contributions came from Malaysia, Singapore, and domestic Cambodian investors.
High-profile approvals this month include the establishment of three special economic zones (SEZs) with a combined valuation of $260 million. Moreover, the CDC authorised a $200 million, 150-megawatt wind power project, marking a significant step in the nation’s energy diversification.
