Cambodia approves 630 investment projects worth $10 bln in 2025
Cambodia approved fixed-asset investment projects worth $10 billion in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 45 percent, said a Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) press release on Monday.

The Southeast Asian country gave licenses to 630 investment projects last year, up 52 percent from 414 projects in the year before, generating approximately 438,000 jobs, the CDC said.
Those approved investment projects had mainly focused on the garment and non-garment manufacturing industries, infrastructure, agriculture and agro-industry, and tourism, the report said.
China remained the top foreign investor in the kingdom, accounting for more than half of total investment, the CDC said, adding that other foreign investors included Singapore, Vietnam, the British Virgin Islands, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Cayman Islands, Samoa, and Bermuda.
Cambodian Ministry of Commerce’s Spokesperson Penn Sovicheat said the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Cambodia’s bilateral free trade agreements (FTAs) with China, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates are key factors in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).
“New FDI will bring about new capital, technologies and job opportunities for our people,” he told Xinhua.
