Nearly 10,000 tonnes of paddy rice purchased nationwide by partner rice mills with the Ministry of Agriculture

Nearly 10,000 tonnes of paddy rice have been purchased from farmers across the country by partner rice mills working with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as of November 6, 2025.

According to the Ministry’s official social media post, the total volume is expected to rise significantly throughout November, which marks the peak of the main harvest season across approximately 1.5 million hectares of cultivated land, producing an estimated 4–5 million tonnes of wet paddy rice.

The Ministry added that in recent months, through the efforts of commune-level agricultural officers and partner rice mills, as well as close coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Cambodian Rice Federation, continuous operations have been carried out daily on a large scale to ensure smooth and consistent paddy rice purchasing from farmers. These efforts aim to prevent any disruptions that could cause farmers’ paddy to deteriorate due to overstock or delayed sales.
