MEF discusses non-tax revenue strategies to enhance Cambodia’s fiscal capacity

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) Monday organised a meeting to review the draft on ‘Strengthening Fiscal Space Through Non-Tax Revenue’, aimed at improving government revenue streams and supporting Phase 4 of Cambodia’s Public Financial Management Reform Programme.

Yeth Vinel, Under Secretary of State of MEF and also Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Public Financial Management Reform Steering Committee (GSC), chaired the meeting.

The discussion was facilitated by Um Youthy, Director of Finance, Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation of GSC, and Nom Sinith, Deputy Director of the General Department of State Property and Non-Tax Revenue.

According to a GSC announcement, the study will be incorporated into the ‘2025 Annual Progress Report’ on the implementation of the Public Financial Management Reform Programme, Phase IV, titled ‘Performance Accountability’.

The meeting brought together representatives from all departments under the supervision of MEF, the 25 provincial-capital departments of MEF, all line ministries, and the 25 provincial-capital administrations, with a total of around 200 participants.
