Real estate developer Frasers Property Vietnam and logistics company SPX Express (SPX) have broken ground on SPX’s automated sorting centre in Yên Mỹ Industrial Centre, Hưng Yên Province, set to become Việt Nam’s first built-to-suit facility of its kind.

Scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, with operations beginning in 2027, the centre will feature a pioneering 170,000 sqm two-storey cross-dock logistics facility. Its 158 docks connect to over 700 sorting destinations, enabling fully independent traffic flows across two levels, allowing simultaneous operations and reducing processing time.

Once operational, the centre will process up to 7 million parcels daily, making it SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia. Alongside SPX’s extensive network of branches in 34 provinces and cities and 20 large-scale sorting centres with advanced automation, the facility reinforces the company’s commitment to continuous innovation and faster, more reliable, sustainable delivery services across the region.

“This new centre underscores the commitment to building a more connected and sustainable digital economy in Việt Nam,” said director of SPX Express Vietnam Quyên Trần.

Together, the northern Hưng Yên facility and its southern HCM City counterpart form a strategic North-South logistics network, enhancing connectivity and setting a new benchmark for the country’s logistics landscape.
