Stavian Recycling Joint Stock Company (Stavian Recycling) on Friday signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading global plastic recycling technology providers – Starlinger & Co GmbH (Austria) and AMUT S.p.A. (Italy).

The agreements mark a major milestone in the development of the rPET Recycling Plant, a key component of the Stavian Recycling Complex located in the Nghi Sơn Economic Zone in Thanh Hóa Province. The plant is designed with an annual processing capacity of 17,000 tonnes.

Under the MoUs, Starlinger & Co. GmbH will supply the recoSTAR PET ART line – a state-of-the-art European technology widely adopted by global consumer brands such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. Meanwhile, AMUT S.p.A. will provide a post-consumer plastic washing line using its most advanced technologies to ensure input quality that meets international standards.

The collaboration with these two world-class technology firms underscores the strong commitment of Stavian Recycling, and the broader Stavian Group, to investing in cutting-edge solutions to produce high-quality rPET products that meet stringent export requirements in Europe, the US and Japan.

Commenting on the signing, Tony Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Stavian Group, said: “The collaboration between Stavian Recycling and two global technology leaders – Starlinger and AMUT – marks a strategic step forward that reflects our determination to invest comprehensively and pursue sustainable development and the circular economy. We believe the rPET Recycling Plant Project in the Nghi Sơn Economic Zone will become a pioneering model of advanced technology and environmental standards in the region, contributing meaningfully to Việt Nam’s green growth goals.”

With advanced technology and strong production capacity, the rPET plant is expected to add value to Việt Nam’s plastic recycling industry, boost exports, create jobs, increase local budget revenues and enhance the country’s competitiveness in the global recycling market.

Founded with a vision for sustainability and the circular economy, Stavian Recycling pioneers the application of advanced technologies in plastic recycling, turning plastic waste into valuable resources and contributing to Việt Nam’s green growth and sustainable development.

Starlinger is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic recycling and packaging machinery, with a history of more than 180 years and presence in over 130 countries.

Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Novara, Italy, AMUT is a global industrial group specialising in extrusion and recycling technologies. The company provides comprehensive solutions for recycling PET, HDPE, and other polymer materials, and currently operates in more than 100 countries.
