Viettel Global Investment JSC (Viettel Global), a subsidiary of military-run Viettel Group, is rapidly expanding its international presence, achieving an average annual revenue growth rate of 20 per cent over the past decade, four to five times higher than the global telecom industry average (according to Gartner).

General Director Nguyễn Thị Hoa said the company currently operates in 10 countries across three continents, serving over 90 million customers. Viettel Global holds the No 1 market position in seven of these markets.

Beyond telecom services, it is spearheading digital transformation initiatives in its overseas markets, with a focus on digital services, fintech, and e-wallet solutions. In 2024, its e-wallet segment recorded a strong 57 per cent growth.

Recognised as one of Việt Nam’s most internationally influential enterprises, Viettel Global serves as a key bridge that elevates the national brand and global standing of Việt Nam.

Hoa emphasised that the company’s overseas investment strategy goes beyond seeking new growth opportunities.

She noted that it’s a process of sharing experience, transferring technology, promoting economic development, and improving living standards in the countries where we invest. Viettel is committed to impactful corporate social responsibility programmes.

Viettel Global aims to maintain double-digit growth over the next five years, expand into at least one new market, and invest heavily in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and cybersecurity - core technologies under Viettel Group’s “Go Global” strategy.

In a related recognition, Fortune magazine recently named Nguyễn Thị Hoa among the Most Powerful Women Asia 2025, marking the first time a Viettel representative has appeared on this prestigious list.

The ranking honours 100 of the most influential women leaders in the Asia-Pacific region, evaluated on company scale and performance, innovation, market impact, career achievements, and social contributions. Hoa is one of four Vietnamese women to make the 2025 list.

As one of the world’s leading business publications, Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Asia list highlights leaders from Southeast Asia, China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Australia who are shaping the region’s future through leadership, influence, and dedication to positive social change.
