Cambodia exported products worth $17.72 billion in the first seven months of 2025, up 18.4 per cent from $14.96 billion over the same period last year, according to an official report released on Monday.
Main export items include clothes, shoes, and travel goods, bicycles, car tires, and potential agricultural produce such as rice, rubber, cassava, cashew nuts, bananas, mangoes, and longans, said the report compiled by the Ministry of Commerce.
The top five export destinations for the Southeast Asian country are the United States, Vietnam, China, Japan, and Canada, the report added.
Meanwhile, the kingdom recorded the total import of $19.16 billion during the January-July period this year, up 15.5 percent from $16.58 billion over the same period last year, the report said.
Major imported goods included oil and gas, raw materials for garments, footwear and travel goods, vehicles, machinery, electronic appliances, and consumer products, among others, it added.
Ministry of Commerce’s Secretary of State and spokesperson Penn Sovicheat said the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement and the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement had given a boost to the country’s trade growth.
“Both free trade agreements have catalyzed our long-term and sustainable export growth,” he told Xinhua.
