Markets extend rally

Both national bourses continued to rally, but liquidity remained low this morning.

 

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.89 per cent to end at 558.97 points. The market was mixed, with 99 advancing stocks and 85 losers.

The market trading volume was low, with more than 38 million shares being traded. The trading value reached just VND645 billion (US$29.8 million) by the end of the morning.

The VN30 Index, tracking the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, was up 0.98 per cent to close at 589.08 points. In this basket, the number of gainers was three times the number of losers at 18 to seven.

FLC Group (FLC) was the only stock that traded more than six million shares. Its price per share stood at VND10,700, an increase of 0.94 per cent.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index slightly rose by 0.06 per cent to close at 83.03 points. The market also had a mixed performance with 64 gainers and 77 losers.

Nearly 24 million shares were exchanged, worth VND270 billion ($12.5 million).

Only five stocks traded more than one million shares. FIT Investment JSC (FIT) remained the most active one, with nearly 1.8 million of its shares being traded. It slightly rose by 0.69 per cent to stand at VND14,500.
