Markets end higher this morning

Both bourses ended higher this morning.

 

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.48 per cent to stand at 550.33 points. The market traded more than 54.9 million shares, worth VND710.8 billion (US$33.8 million), by the end of the morning. The gainers outnumbered the losers by 138 to 59.

The VN30 Index, tracking the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, went up 0.58 per cent to stand at 579.30 points. In this basket, none of the codes lost, nine remained flat and 21 stocks gained.

Sacom Development and Investment Corporation (SAM) was the most active code, with nearly 2.8 million of its shares being traded. Its price per share rose 1.45 per cent to stand at VND14,000.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index improved by 0.54 per cent to close at 82.41 points. The market recorded a trading volume of nearly 23 million shares, worth VND276.7 billion ($13.1 million). The number of gainers was double the number of losers by 108 to 53.

Five codes traded more than one million shares. FIT Investment JSC (FIT) topped the chart again, with nearly 2.1 million of its shares being traded. Its share price increased by 0.61 per cent to end at VND16,600 each.
