Saigon Treasure Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK) won three awards at the Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards 2026, including “Outstanding Retail Bank”, “Outstanding Digital Bank”, and “Outstanding Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises”.

Organised by International Data Group in collaboration with the Vietnam Banks Association and government ministries, the awards combine customer surveys with expert assessments of product and service quality, operational efficiency, reputation, technology adoption, and innovation.

With the aim of becoming Việt Nam’s leading retail bank, SACOMBANK develops tailored solutions to deliver greater value to customers.

One such solution, Sinh lời tài lộc, enables customers to make better use of temporarily idle funds while keeping the money available for payments. Customers can set their desired interest-earning balance and receive returns of up to 6 per cent a year.

The SACOMBANK Visa Platinum Cashback card offers added value on everyday spending, with cashback of up to 16.8 per cent on transport and 6.8 per cent on supermarket purchases.

SACOMBANK’s digital transformation focuses on improving the customer experience across all touchpoints.

On the SACOMBANK PAY app, the digital assistant SAMI provides 24/7 access to information and bill-payment services, while direct call-centre connectivity is available for additional support.

At the ecosystem level, SACOMBANK OPEN API expands connectivity with partner platforms, enabling account opening, card issuance, and collection services directly through third-party applications, eliminating the need to switch between platforms.

This year, SACOMBANK upgraded its T24 Core Banking system to R25, the latest global version, enhancing processing capacity, security, and flexibility, while creating a foundation for faster development of new products and services.

The migration involved more than 20 satellite systems, but did not interrupt customer transactions.

Lưu Danh Đức, deputy CEO of SACOMBANK, said: "Our banks are currently in phase 4 – the phase of preparing to transform the Core Banking system toward greater digitalisation combined with artificial intelligence. For SACOMBANK, upgrading to T24 R25 has driven positive and efficient operational changes, delivering greater value and an enhanced customer experience."

SACOMBANK has also expanded financing support for businesses amid continued pressure from capital costs. The bank has introduced lending packages worth VNĐ10-15 trillion for customers in priority sectors, household businesses, and foreign-invested enterprises, with interest rates from 8.5-9 per cent a year.

It is also offering a 2-per-cent reduction in lending rates for import-export businesses, applicable to both new and existing customers through the end of 2026.

The bank is working with tax authorities to help household businesses and enterprises understand changes in tax policies, e-invoices, and revenue transparency requirements.

The three accolades recognise SACOMBANK’s customer-centred strategy and provide further momentum for its mission of “Creating Value – Inspiring Prosperity” through technology, a deep understanding of customers, and dedicated services.
