Cambodia, Belarus look to expand trade and investment ties

Cambodia and Belarus are exploring opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade and investment under the framework of the Cambodia–Belarus Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC).

During a meeting at the Ministry of Commerce yesterday, Secretary of State Tekreth Kamrang received Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Cambodia Uladzimir Baravikou for a courtesy call and bilateral discussions.

The two sides exchanged views on expanding economic engagement and enhancing collaboration across key sectors, focusing on advancing ties while identifying new areas of mutual business interest.

Both parties reviewed preparations for the 5th JCTEC meeting, scheduled for the near future. Additionally, they explored initiatives to promote tourism, strengthen business connectivity, and deepen private-sector cooperation through a joint business forum involving the chambers of commerce of both countries.
