Visa and Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) have recently signed an agreement to launch the Petrolimex-Visa co-branded card programme nationwide.

The launching of a branded card is a milestone after the two companies successfully introduced contactless Visa card acceptance at Petrolimex stations in 2022, which reduced customer wait times and improved operational efficiency.

This new co-branded card suite is designed to deliver direct benefits to consumers and businesses alike. Cardholders will enjoy faster, more secure, and seamless payment experiences.

Additionally, users can access exclusive loyalty rewards, improved financial oversight, and simplified expense management – whether for everyday personal purchases, or for businesses managing high-volume fuel expenses.

The programme features four key product lines, including personal credit card, personal debit card, corporate credit card and corporate debit card.

For individual consumers, these cards offer practical financial tools and increased convenience at petrol kiosks. For businesses, especially those with large fleets, the corporate cards are expected to streamline payment processes, enhance cost control, and reduce operational risks.

Lưu Văn Tuyển, board of management member and director general of Petrolimex, commented: “This collaboration with Visa represents a meaningful step forward in Petrolimex’s digital transformation journey. By adopting modern digital payment solutions, we can enhance financial oversight and increase operational transparency, particularly for enterprises with extensive operations and high fuel consumption demands.”

In upcoming phases, Visa and Petrolimex will continue to scale the programme nationwide, enhance user experience, and deliver even greater value to customers.
