Blockchain ambitions on display at GM Vietnam 2025
GM Vietnam 2025 is more than just the country’s largest blockchain gathering, it reflects Vietnam’s growing ambition to become a regional leader in digital innovation and Web3 adoption.

Taking place in Hanoi from August 1 to 2, GM Vietnam 2025 is one of Asia’s largest events focused on blockchain, digital assets, and investment technologies. Co-organised by SSI Digital and Kyros Ventures under the patronage of the National Cybersecurity Association, the event comes on the heels of two major policy shifts: the launch of the National Blockchain Strategy and the passing of the Digital Technology Industry Law. Together, these developments highlight Vietnam’s intent to move from a fast-growing digital market to a structured, innovation-led economy.
More than 200 distinguished speakers from Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, and the United States will share the stage from corporate leaders and venture capitalists to blockchain developers and policy experts. The event will bring together over 1,000 founders, angel investors, developers, and advisors, creating a rare density of high-calibre connections. For Vietnam, this is more than a conference, it is a high-stakes strategy forum to forge alliances, launch projects, and shape policy directions for a future where blockchain forms part of society’s core digital infrastructure.
GM Vietnam 2025’s programme is designed for both depth and actionable insight. Discussions will address legal frameworks for digital assets, sandbox mechanisms, system safety, cybersecurity, and the mapping of the investment landscape, including what leading investors are seeking from Vietnamese startups.
These conversations will outline the trends shaping blockchain’s future while highlighting immediate applications in finance, governance, and commerce. With policymakers and regulators actively participating, the event offers a rare opportunity to align technological innovation with legal clarity – a foundation that many emerging markets still lack.
A defining mission of GM Vietnam 2025 is to demystify blockchain for the wider public. Beyond panel talks, more than 40 exhibition booths will feature live demonstrations of blockchain-powered solutions in finance, retail, cybersecurity, data, entertainment, and healthcare.
Attendees will have the chance to test products, join beta programmes, and engage directly with development teams. The Aptos Hackathon – the largest of its kind in Vietnam – will run in parallel with a 'Treasure Hunt' gamified activity that encourages visitors to explore booths, complete challenges, and win rewards. By blending innovation with interactivity, the event aims to move blockchain out of the abstract and into the everyday lives of Vietnamese citizens.

The economic impact is expected to be significant. Hanoi’s hospitality, tourism, transportation, and media sectors will benefit from the influx of international participants, with more than 150 side events adding to the city’s vibrancy during the conference period. In many ways, GM Vietnam 2025 will also serve as a soft-power exercise, projecting Vietnam’s image as a forward-looking, tech-savvy nation ready to partner with the world’s most dynamic investors and innovators.
Thuat Nguyen, representing Kyros Ventures, said that since the first GM Vietnam in 2023, the event’s core mission has been to create a platform for Vietnamese blockchain projects and companies to demonstrate their capabilities to a global audience. Although the scale has expanded significantly, the focus remains on collaboration and knowledge exchange to accelerate technological development.
"Vietnam is stepping into a bold new era of global presence – this is our time to rise," said Thuat.
Mai Huy Tuan, CEO of SSI Digital, said the aim of GM Vietnam is to foster a shared vision among the financial, technology, and business communities. "Digital assets are no longer a distant concept, but are steadily becoming a practical tool to drive growth, diversify portfolios, and foster the long-term development of Vietnam’s capital market," he noted.
Tuan added that once a legal framework for establishing cryptocurrency exchanges is in place, SSI Digital stands ready to support Vietnamese projects in expanding globally. "This will allow legitimate entry into international markets and bring significant foreign currency inflows to the country," he said.
In addition, SSI Digital has also established the SSI Digital Ventures investment fund and committed to investing $200 million in projects in the blockchain and AI sectors, with a particular focus on initiatives originating from Vietnam.
Vietnam’s blockchain journey is no longer about catching up, it is about setting the pace. The convergence of policy support, investor interest, and public engagement embodied in GM Vietnam 2025 reflects a nation ready to convert its potential into leadership.
In a region where competition for tech dominance is fierce, this event may well mark the moment when Vietnam’s ambitions in the digital asset space became tangible.
