MoMo helps young people build financial skills

Fintech company MoMo has launched a series of initiatives to provide financial knowledge to young people, beginning in July 2025 with the Kể chuyện Tài chính thông minh (Smart Financial Storytelling) workshop and interactive game Đấu Trường Tri Thức (Knowledge Arena).

Fintech company MoMo has launched a series of initiatives to provide financial knowledge to young people, beginning in July 2025 with the Kể chuyện Tài chính thông minh (Smart Financial Storytelling) workshop and interactive game Đấu Trường Tri Thức (Knowledge Arena).

By combining classroom discussions with engaging, game-based learning experiences, it hopes to equip young people with the mindset and tools they need to confidently navigate their personal finance journey, the company said.

MoMo collaborated with Media AI Lab to host the workshop last week, attracting hundreds of students and lecturers from the creative communication faculty at Nguyễn Tất Thành University.

Under the guidance of MoMo, journalist Tạ Bích Loan and Media AI Lab, complex personal finance concepts were transformed into real-life scenarios that were easier to understand and apply.

Students had the opportunity to put the “Understand Money – Keep Money – Grow Money” formula into practice using AI-powered tools on the MoMo platform for budgeting, saving and micro-investing.

One highlight of the workshop was training students to produce short-form financial content using AI-enhanced video tools, mentored by Loan.

Student teams created 50 short videos addressing common financial concerns among young people like “How do you save money on a limited income?” “Is it wise to invest without surplus cash?” “How can small daily expenses be managed to avoid overspending?”

More than a media exercise, the activity encouraged students to reflect on their own financial behaviours and inspire positive change within their communities.

Extending this experiential approach beyond the classroom, MoMo has brought gamified financial learning to the public through its new interactive game “Knowledge Arena” on its app.

Running from July 23 to September 12, 2025, “Knowledge Arena” is a nationwide competition that blends entertainment with financial education, encouraging users to form teams to discuss strategies and learn from one another, turning each team into a small financial learning community.
