SACOMBANK’s Trade Union, in collaboration with the HCM City Blood Donation Centre, launched the “Connecting Hearts” blood donation campaign at the bank’s headquarters on August 21.
This marks the 14th consecutive year SACOMBANK has organised the initiative, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the community and promoting sustainable development.
Under the theme “Connecting Hearts”, the programme seeks to promote empathy and compassion, with each blood donation offering support to patients in need while connecting people through a shared act of kindness.
On the opening day, the campaign attracted more than 400 employees in HCM City. Members of the bank’s executive board also took part, helping encourage wider participation and promote the campaign’s message.
More than 580 units of blood were collected, contributing to supplies for emergency care and medical treatment at healthcare facilities across the city.
“Through the programme, we aim not only to fulfil our responsibility to the community but also to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation. By taking part in meaningful activities together, SACOMBANK is nurturing a compassionate corporate culture, strengthening team solidarity through acts of kindness and inspiring employees to put the bank’s core values into practice,” said Đào Nguyên Vũ, chairman of SACOMBANK’s Trade Union.
This year’s campaign will run from August 21 to November 30 at SACOMBANK branches and transaction offices nationwide. The bank expects its employees to donate thousands of units of blood in support of the healthcare sector.
