HDBank was honoured among the top five Vietnamese listed companies with the best corporate governance practices in Kuala Lumpur on July 24.

This recognition, based on the rigorous ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) assessment, positions HDBank as a leading Vietnamese enterprise in this crucial area.

This prestigious award is conducted by MSWG in coordination with ACMF and ADB, and involves a highly selective evaluation process.

The event gathered prominent figures including Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, alongside leaders from financial organisations, international investors, and corporate governance experts. Discussions at the forum centred on critical themes such as transparency, environmental, social, and governance integration, board diversity, digital transformation, and shareholder rights protection.

HDBankchairman Kim Byoungho stated, “HDBank is committed to adhering to the highest governance standards – transparency, efficiency, and sustainable development – as the foundation for our international integration strategy.”

More than a decade of innovation at HDBank bears the distinct imprint of Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, permanent vice chairwoman of the board. As a pioneer, she laid the foundation for HDBank's modern banking model, driven by advanced technology, human-centred values, and a vision for global integration.

This commitment to excellence has earned HDBank recognition as one of Vietnam's top five leading enterprises in corporate governance for 2025, placing it alongside major names like Vinamilk, FPT, and VPBank. This significant achievement not only solidifies the position and reputation of Vietnamese banks on the international financial map but also inspires HDBank to continue spreading impactful values to the community, investors, and the wider economy.
