CCIA President encourages foreign investors to visit and invest in Cambodia

Ly Khun Thai, President of the Cambodia Confederation of Investors Association (CCIA), called on foreign investors to continue visiting Cambodia, describing the country not only as an ideal destination for investment and business, but also as a “wonderland” for tourism.

He made the call at the “Cambodia-International Investment Promotion Platform”, held on Friday at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh. The CCIA organised the event under the chairmanship of Vongsey Vissoth, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers.

The forum was also attended by representatives from various ministries and institutions, members of the CCIA, investors, business leaders, and approximately 400 distinguished guests from both Cambodia and abroad.

“This event is designed as a platform for all stakeholders, particularly international visitors, to gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia and explore the many opportunities within its growing market,” Ly Khun Thai said.

He emphasised that the gathering also presents a valuable chance for investors to expand their networks, paving the way for new collaborations and shared success.

“I sincerely invite all foreign guests to continue exploring Cambodia—not only as the best destination for investment and business, but also as a land rich in cultural and natural attractions for tourism,” he added.

Ly Khun Thai expressed his belief that the forum would help strengthen cooperation among key stakeholders, ultimately contributing to Cambodia’s economic development and fostering prosperity within the broader international community.

Taking the opportunity during the forum, the CCIA President reassured investors that Cambodia continues to enjoy lasting peace, political stability, and strong security, along with ongoing progress across all sectors, thanks to the wise and steady leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet.

“Cambodia is strategically located at the heart of Southeast Asia and benefits from well-developed infrastructure, a young and dynamic workforce, and access to a broad international market through various free trade agreements and regional partnerships,” he said. “These factors create highly favourable conditions for investment and business.”

Following the successful organisation of the forum, Ly Khun Thai expressed hope that it would lead to strengthened cooperation and expanded partnerships between Cambodia and the international community in the near future.

“CCIA is always committed to working closely with all stakeholders,” he added. “While this forum may be short-term, the association remains dedicated to actively supporting and welcoming all esteemed guests and investors to Cambodia.”

At the same forum, Vongsey Vissoth expressed his appreciation to Ly Khun Thai for organising this forum. He praised the initiative for its role in promoting, coordinating, and mobilising investment into Cambodia, as well as contributing to social and charitable activities that support the country’s socio-economic development.

“The Prime Minister Hun Manet continues to drive forward economic growth and national development for the benefit of the entire society,” Vongsey Vissoth said.

“In this effort, the Royal Government regards the private sector—including both national and international investors—as essential partners and catalysts in building the national economy, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods for the Cambodian people.”

The same to Ly Khun Thai’s remarks, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister made a formal and encouraging announcement: “Cambodia is always ready to welcome and support investors and entrepreneurs. Cambodia grows and prospers with its investors. We warmly invite you—please come and invest in Cambodia.”
