Sar Sokha reaffirms his willingness to contribute to providing warmth to Japanese investment

Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, reiterated his readiness to provide cooperation, coordination, promotion and improvement of the investment climate to ensure the attraction of Japanese and other investors.

In a meeting with Takahashi Fumiaki, former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia and President of the Japan-Cambodia Association (JCA) at the Ministry of Interior on April 4, Sokha expressed his deep gratitude to the Royal Government and people of Japan for always paying attention to supporting the cause of peace and socio-economic development in Cambodia for continued progress.

A ministry statement said Sokha and Takahashi Fumiaki highly appreciated the past cooperation between the two parties, including in the economic, political, and security sectors.

According to Sokha, the Ministry of Interior has been implementing its role and duties to maintain security, public order and social safety, and this work also requires cooperation with relevant parties, including the private sector.

The president of JCA informed the Minister of Interior that the Japanese side will lead a Japanese business delegation to Cambodia in succession; in November, he will lead another delegation to Cambodia to create opportunities for Japanese investors to study the various potentials that Cambodia has for investment.

The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the initiative as well as the planned visit of a Japanese business delegation to the Kingdom of Cambodia in November and thanked the Japanese side for its efforts to strengthen and expand relations between the two countries, especially through investment.
