At the meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said she appreciated the activities of Marvell Group in Vietnam.

She welcomed Marvell Group, an American company, headquartered in California, which develops semiconductors and related technology, for many initiatives to support Vietnam in developing the semiconductor industry, especially its close cooperation with the National Innovation Centre in developing the ecosystem and personnel of the semiconductor industry.

The Vietnamese government has approved the Semiconductor Human Resource Development Programme to 2030 with a vision to 2050 and the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030 with a vision to 2050. In particular, the MoF assigned the NIC to preside over the implementation of the human resource development initiative with the goal of training 50,000 engineers by 2030.

Going forward, Ngoc requested Marvell Group to speed up progress and expand cooperation with Vietnam in implementing the human resource training initiative for the semiconductor industry.

At the same time, she requested Marvell Group to continue expanding its business, research and development in Vietnam, contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry ecosystem here.

Noam Mizrahi expressed his agreement with the proposals of the deputy minister. He said that the group has been closely cooperating with NIC and universities in Vietnam in training and human resource development and deeply participating in connecting technology corporations. Promoting those results, Mizrahi also proposed some breakthrough policies to develop the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.
