Industrial space receiving major overhaul in Danang
In anticipation of a free trade zone area and financial hub, the central city of Danang is focusing on Hoa Ninh Industrial Park, opening up development opportunities.

Last week at the launch of plans for the industrial park (IP), Nguyen Thi Thao Nhi, general director of developer Thanh Binh Phu My JSC, said the company will mobilise all financial, human, and technical resources to successfully implement Hoa Ninh, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and synchronisation, as well as meeting international standards and sustainable development.
Hoa Ninh is located about 10km from the Lien Chieu deepwater port and the planned liquid cargo port warehouse.
“This is an outstanding advantage, not only helping to optimise logistics costs for businesses, strengthen supply chain connectivity but also creating a premise for developing a sustainable, green, clean and environmentally friendly IP, following the industrial symbiosis model,” said Nhi.
The venture to build and operate infrastructure for the Hoa Ninh IP was approved at the end of 2024, and Danang People’s Committee approved the investor on February 11. The Management Board of Danang High-Tech Park and IPs issued the investment registration certificate at the launch last week.
The initiative spans 400 hectares with a total investment of over $258 million, with a completion date of no more than 42 months from the date of land handover. This is an important venture to welcome a new wave of investment and take advantage of the strategic advantages of Danang in the future, leaders said.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Danang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh said that the Hoa Ninh IP was not only an important step forward in the city’s industrial development strategy but also a testament to Danang’s efforts in attracting investment, sustainable development and improving people’s quality of life.
“Danang attaches importance to the role, is ready to accompany investors and partners in the development process, and commits to continue to create the best conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency,” Chinh said.
He added that the city would provide maximum support in site clearance and construction of technical infrastructure, encourage administrative reform, and create an open and transparent investment environment.
The Hoa Ninh IP aims to become a specialised, environmentally friendly complex, taking full advantage of its location near the Lien Chieu deepwater port, the Danang International Airport, and a proposed free trade zone.
It is also expected to become one of the most modern IPs in the central region, with a sustainable and environmentally friendly technical infrastructure system in order to draw in funding in a variety of industries.
The IP will create an industrial connection with existing parks of Danang, and help improve industrial production and create positive spillovers to other economic sectors such as trade, services, logistics, tourism, and ports.
Danang plans to develop five main logistics centres with a total area of around 230ha.
The infrastructure development investor for the park already has experience in successfully implementing the construction of the Phu My 3 Specialised IP in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. It is only about 3km from the PVGas liquid cargo port warehouse, and 2km from the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deepwater port.
Phu My 3 has pulled in nearly $5 billion of funding, with the average investment attraction rate per hectare of industrial land for lease at about $9-10 million. It is expected that by 2027, when the projects come into operation, the total capital in Phu My 3 will reach $6.71 billion.
