Saigon Co.op to open convenience stores at Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro stations
Vietnamese retailer Saigon Co.op will open a chain of convenience stores at stations along the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line under a new partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway No. 1 Co., Ltd. (HURC).

Saigon Co.op, with the largest market share and 35 years of experience in Vietnam, and HURC, the operator of Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line, signed the partnership agreement on Monday.
The collaboration aims to enhance the commuter experience and modernize urban retail infrastructure.
The metro line, spanning 19.7km with 14 stations, connects the city center to satellite areas, creating an opportunity for Saigon Co.op to expand its convenience store network.
The partnership will integrate non-cash payment systems and offer exclusive promotions for metro passengers, while also promoting domestic products.
This initiative aligns with Ho Chi Minh City’s vision for modernizing transport and retail infrastructure.
