It is led by Vũ Văn Tiền, the lender’s vice chairman, who will step down from the board this year to focus on the committee’s work.

The committee will have a number of experienced people from both within and outside the financial sector.

Last November, ABBANK signed an agreement with the Asian Development Bank and ERM Vietnam Co., Ltd. to undertake a project on Environmental and Social Management System specifically tailored for trade finance operations.

It is considered one of preliminary steps in executing its ESG strategy, fostering green finance, promoting sustainable development and enhancing social responsibility.

Last year ABBANK made major investments in technology and human resources, launching numerous new products and services for both individual and corporate customers.
