Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation excels in the number of technology patents granted in 2021

On January 4th 2022, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recognized the exclusive patent in the US for 02 registrations of Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (VHT), a member of Viettel.

It is the invention of “Dual-polarized Wide-Bandwidth Antenna” which offers a compact structure antenna, wide bandwidth enough for high-speed information processing, and “High magnification MWIR continuous zoom system” ensures image quality in a variety of environments, factors that severely affect image acquisition and verification. Thus, in 2021, USPTO has granted VHT 05 exclusive patents, bringing the total number of VHT's patents to 08. This event closed 2021 with an outstanding number of applications and recognized patents of VHT both domestically and internationally.

With 08 patents protected exclusively in the US, so far according to the USPTO's list, VHT is a Vietnamese high-tech enterprise with the most US patents, covering all 03 fields: military, civil and telecommunications sectors. Currently, the number of applications filed by VHT in the US is 39 patents. Patents are still being evaluated and there will be many more patented solutions in the near future.

From 2017, VHT has had nearly 300 patent applications, of which the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) has granted 39 patents and 19 utility solutions. According to the National Office of Intellectual Property, in 2021, Viettel is the organization with the highest number of patent registrations in Vietnam. In 2021 alone, VHT has filed 66 Patent applications with the National Office of Intellectual Property. In which, by January 2022, the number of VHT’s patent applications has been accepted is 17 patents, of which up to 5 patents are certified exclusively in the US.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation, said that US-protected patents are evidence to ensure the success of enterprises entering the international market. Patented technical solutions are all novel solutions in the world, practical and highly applicable, and solve existing technical limitations in the field of registration.
