Hioki strengthens local presence with sustainability focus

With the shared goal of building a sustainable future through efficient energy utilisation, the establishment of Hioki Electric Vietnam enhances Hioki’s local presence and contributes to carbon neutrality efforts in both Vietnam and globally.

Hioki E.E. Corporation of Japan, with 90 years of experience in developing electrical measurement solutions, announced the establishment of its Vietnamese subsidiary on June 27, supporting the country in its pursuit of Net Zero emissions.

Following Vietnam’s pledge to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the government has accelerated a range of policies and initiatives to promote the transition to green energy. As a result, Vietnam is emerging as a promising market, attracting significant foreign investment and increasing participation from international businesses, particularly in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors. Vietnam is also one of the key markets in Hioki's global expansion strategy.

Hioki Electric Vietnam will serve as a bridge between Hioki and local partners, helping to maximise the value of the company's electrical measuring instruments and driving positive impact across four key areas.

The electrical engineering firm aims to enhance productivity and manufacturing quality across industries, supporting the growth of a green economy. It promotes energy-saving by visualising electricity usage, contributing to national and global net-zero targets. Hioki also helps detect and prevent potential failures in electrical systems and workplace environments.

The company has also stated its commitment to supporting the training and development of high-quality technical talent in Vietnam.

Speaking about this important milestone, Takahiro Okazawa, president of Hioki E.E. Corporation, said, "The establishment of Hioki Electric Vietnam is a strategic move in expanding our global sales network. It marks a key milestone in our journey to becoming a leading provider of electrical measurement solutions, supporting Vietnam’s shift to green energy and contributing to a sustainable future."

"Hioki Electric Vietnam will be led by Kazuhiro Takezawa, one of the youngest members of the corporation’s management team. His appointment reflects the company's forward-looking approach to dynamic growth and its well-informed strategy tailored to the local market," he added.

Representing Hioki Electric Vietnam, Takezawa said, "We aim to develop into a responsive, agile company that leverages data as a core strength. Through this, we will serve as a connector – supporting international partners entering the Vietnamese market, while enabling local businesses to seize timely growth opportunities."

Nguyen Thanh Hang, CEO of Victory Instrument JSC – one of the top scientific equipment suppliers in Vietnam – said, "We have worked with Hioki for over 30 years. Victory would not be what it is today without Hioki as a core part of our product portfolio."
