Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions renamed as Bosch Global Software Technologies

Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited (RBEI) headquartered in India announced a change in the company name to Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited. With it, all related legal entities and organisational areas will be renamed. Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Vietnam company (RBVH), located at Ho Chi Minh City, will become Bosch Global Software Technologies Limited (BGSV). The new name is effective from mid-January 2022.

The change will be one of the largest that has been undertaken at RBEI. The company’s restructuring began in Q2 2020, as part of the company’s effort to accelerate business strategy, anticipate future demand and adapt to market change.

RBEI is the largest software and technology center for Bosch outside Germany with a delivery & sales network across several global locations such as Mexico, Vietnam, North America, Japan, Middle East and more. The strategic name change comes with enhancement in the company’s capabilities, competencies, business models & working engagements to scale and continue to play a dominant role in software & product engineering at Bosch.

The development brings to the fore the nature of the company’s work in software led technology. Being a global hub for software, it caters to customers and partners across geographies and industries in their digitalisation journey. The name change complements the company’s hiring strategy to recruit best-in-class talent from premier universities in the areas of Data Management and Analytics AI/ML, Cloud Technologies, UX - User Experience, Cybersecurity, AUTOSAR Adaptive/VRTE, autonomous driving, software defined vehicle and other new age technologies. In line with that, the company is working on re-skilling and up-skilling niche competencies to execute highly complex projects. The company is also setting up a new high tech development center in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The company is looking to strengthen its innovation focus and R&D capabilities and for it steady initiatives and investments are being made in various technologies in embedded software, mechanical and IT enterprises application domains.

Speaking about software capabilities and expansion of the Vietnam center as a key global delivery network for BGSW, Dattatreya Gaur, Managing Director of BGSV, said, “It’s a great opportunity to leverage our global presence and competencies for serving our customers in their changing demands of high technology.”

With more than 23,000 associates across the globe, Bosch Global Software Technologies is a powerhouse of software led technology. Vietnam center with more than 2600 associates is a pivotal for developing high tech products and IT applications in Automotive, Industrial and consumer goods sectors for global locations including Japan, Korea, China and ASEAN.
