Shares gain on fertiliser stocks

Vietnamese shares rebounded on Thursday morning thanks to the growth of fertiliser stocks.

 

The benchmark VN-Index on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange was up 0.22 per cent to close at 1,312.39 points.

More than 271 million shares were traded on the southern bourse, worth VNĐ8.8 trillion.

Market breadth was positive with 232 gaining stocks and 113 losers.

Fertiliser stocks also recorded big gains with gainers such as DAP - VINACHEM JSC (DDV), Lâm Thao Fertilizers And Chemicals JSC (LAS), Petro Viet Nam Ca Mau Fertilizer JSC (DCM) and Đức Giang Chemicals Group JSC (DGC).

On the Hà Nội Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased 0.93 per cent to end morning at 339.13 points.

More than 68.5 million shares were traded on the northern market, worth VNĐ1.7 trillion.
