Shares bounce back on the growth of blue-chips

 Shares rebounded on Wednesday morning thanks to the growth of large-cap stocks.

On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the VN-Index rose 0.38 per cent, to 1,166,36 points.

The market breadth was neutral with 217 stocks dropping, while 232 stocks increased.

The gains was due to the growth of pillar stocks. The 30 large-cap tracker VN30-Index increased 0.54 per cent, to 1,169.28 points. Eighteen of 30 large-cap stocks gained, while only 10 decreased.

During the morning session, more than 502.2 million shares were traded on the southern bourse, worth over VNĐ12.4 trillion (US$536.7 million).

The market was strongly boosted by the large-caps, including VPBank (VPB), Vinhomes (VHM), Techcombank (TCB), HDBank (HDB), Novaland (NVL), Becamex (BCM) and Asia Commercial Bank (ACB).

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index also gained 0.22 per cent to reach 265.41 points.
