Second phase of Trung Nam wind power plant inaugurated in Ninh Thuan

Trung Nam Construction Investment Corporation, or Trung Nam Group, has put into operation the first turbine of the second phase of Trung Nam wind power plant in Thuan Bac District, Ninh Thuan Province.

The second phase of the facility, which is expected to generate 182 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, has a total capacity of 64 megawatts (MW) and 16 wind turbines with a capacity of 4 MW each.

The project was equipped with wind turbines and propellers originally from Germany’s Enercon Group.

A representative of Trung Nam Group stated that the generation of the first wind turbine will speed up the construction, installation and connection of the remaining wind turbines in the second phase to ensure it will be completed by the first quarter of 2020.

Trung Nam Group aims to transmit 1,000 MW of the renewable energy to the national power grid in the next two years.
