Over 100 Chinese home appliances firms visit Vietnam

More than 100 home appliances firms from the Chinese provinces of Zhejiang and Guangdong are taking part in an exposition in HCMC to sound out business opportunities.

The Vietnam International Electrical Appliance Expo 2019, as part of the 2019 Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo), is being held by Drez Exhibition, HC Group and Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (Vinexad) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, HCMC. The three-day event is expected to wrap up this Saturday, December 7.

One of the organizers, Vinexad, said that the exposition is gathering a number of major Chinese corporations, such as Sichuan Electric, Lijie Electric, Dingrun Electrical and Wei Wang Technology.

It added that some 30% of the Chinese exhibitors are original equipment manufacturers of kitchen, bathroom and electrical home appliances and environmentally friendly devices, as well as other parts and accessories.

The Chinese firms are showcasing their new products with technologies that are environmentally friendly and energy-saving and are integrated with voice control and temperature sensors, according to Vinexad.

They are also arranging appointments with Vietnamese manufacturers, direct importers and ecommerce firms in an effort to increase the efficiency of transactions for end-users.

Vinexad said China’s strengths lie in manufacturing electrical appliances. Their manufacturers are now deeply engaged in research and development to enhance the competitiveness of their products.

The 2019 Vietnam Expo kicked off at the SECC today, December 4. The 17th edition of the event features 900 booths of 850 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.

The major event, which runs until this Saturday, is divided into various exhibition areas, including the Hardware and Hand Tools Expo, with 400 pavilions; the Vietnam Electrical Appliance Expo; and the Vietnam Garden and Landscape Expo.
